The last week was full of accomplishment! Just over one week ago we submitted the online portion of our application, and the agency has already responded by sending out forms to our references. Since then we've interviewed two pediatricians with the goal of finding a potential doctor for our child and gathering information we need to finish our paperwork. I even took home a mild case of the flu, so that was fun. Saturday we completed our Red Cross Adult and Child CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (though we were unimpressed with the class for the price), and we have filled out all of the "easy" forms. We have a handful of forms set aside that require a bit more effort with the hopes of submitting them next week (or the week after, knowing how things often go). In summary, we are making progress! Every day we are one step closer to meeting our first child. Its nice these days that those steps are so much more tangible than they've been over the past 3 1/2 years.
yay! yay! Did you select a pediatrician yet? I too can't wait to meet your little bundle of joy! He/she is going to be so loved!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWe liked both pediatricians, so if we needed one right away we'd have one :) I don't think I'll consider any selection "official" until we go there. We got our questions answered so that was the near term objective. Thanks Sara!
