Live Scan

This adoption process is not always high speed, so some weeks there are not many updates.  The last couple of weeks work and illnesses have been particularly demanding, though pleasantly countered with the birth of our handsome new nephew and a fun-filled weekend trip to Vegas with my sister.  It may sound like we've been slacking with our paperwork, but the good news is we've been making progress with very little effort over this time.  Before the aforementioned whirlwind, both of us completed our Live Scan (fingerprints) for the new agency.  It takes an averages of 8 weeks before the agency receives these results, which are part of the paperwork.  Even if we completed every last line in the rest of the stack and turned it in tomorrow, we'd still be waiting.  We are letting that momentum carry us for now while dabbling with the remaining papers, and in a couple weeks we'll sit down and complete the rest of the stack.  Our goal is for the paperwork portion to not exceed the time it takes to receive the Live Scan results, and for the interview series to follow close behind our submittal.  Wish us luck! :)
