2 Down, 2 to Go!

Today our social worker Katie visited our home for our back to back individual interviews.  These were far more streamline than I expected, with a special thanks to our parents for giving us non-traumatic childhoods (her words).  Questions touched on topics such as "Where did you grow up?" "What was your childhood like?" "Describe your relationship with your family," "How does your extended family feel about adoption?" "Tell me about your spouse," "What makes you angry and how do you deal with it?" "How do you adapt to change?" "Do you have any health issues?," etc.  Honestly, I thought there would be many questions that were personal to the point of awkward or left me wondering if/hoping that my husband's answer showed we were on the same page.  These anticipated moments were pretty much non-existent.  I just kept waiting for that "real zinger" that would hook me for days worth of analysis, wondering if they had found a reason not to approve us...it never came.  As of today, two interviews are complete, with one interview and one home inspection to go...all scheduled in the month of July :)
